I’m super excited to bring you my online programme The Desk Rescuer. It’s a programme I’ve written to help sedentary desk based dwellers become unstuck from their computers by learning how to interweave movement into their day. A lot of people recognise they need to move more but are not sure how or what type of exercise to do.
DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOU?
If you: …sit on your bum all day,
…often lack clarity or focus on your work,
…suffer with fatigue and lack of energy that affects your concentration,
…burn out often throughout the year,
…feel weary and often shattered,
…suffer with stiff and sore body parts,
…know you posture isn’t helping but struggle to change it,
…end up taking sick days because of the above,
…loose income because you can not function and work,
then this is perfect for YOU.
There is a trending epidemic where evidence is rising to illustrate that SITTING is the new SMOKING.
Sitting is deemed as very bad for our healths.
Inactivity is being identified as the 4th biggest killer in the UK!
Time to take action and do something about it.
Do you need help to focus on your work and smash through your “to-do” list before mid day?
Do you get easily distracted away from what you “should” be doing?
Do you find yourself staring at the same page of the book you are reading or screen you are looking at and not take any of it in?
Do you often feel exhausted at the end of your working day with little energy to do anything other than flop on the couch?
Do you lack motivation and struggle to be productive?
When we learn to weave movement into our day, magical things start to happen:
We feel better as we release out natural endorphin happy hormones.
This helps us to focus and gain clarity on our “to do” list.
We reduce stiffness and sore body parts so our bodies feel better physically.
This helps us cope with demanding workloads.
We have more energy which allows us to be more productive and achieve more in less time.
This reduces fatigue and that feeling of “crashing” at the end of the day.
We reduce the number of times our body physically reaches burn out.
Movement helps the mind and body equilibrium so we increase our earning potential as a direct result.
Using Pilates based exercises that are quick, simple yet extremely effective, let me teach you how to add the magic of movement into your day.
Many of the sequences of movement I’ve put together help prevent spinal stiffness and reduce tight overactive muscles. I know how busy you are, that’s why these movement series are short in duration approximately 2 – 3 minutes long so they can easily be implemented into your day.
If you suffer with repetitive strain injuries or recurrent low back pain that you are worried about flaring up again then The Desk Rescuer will provide you with the tools you need to prevent further episodes.
By keeping supple, our spine is stronger as it craves movement that a static 9 – 5pm desk job just doesn’t allow.
Here’s how The Desk Rescuer works…
It’s an online programme that you can access at any time via my website.
There are five modules included that cover desk set up optimisation, how to correct your posture in sitting, brilliant ideas to help you fit more movement into your working day, exercises in sitting and exercises away from your desk.
Imagine what it would feel like to have a good posture throughout the day?
That sense of length and space in your spine, your body image looking sharp and your body confidence oozing. Your creativity and productivity levels soaring as you think clearer due to moving your body at regular intervals throughout your working day.
Imagine what it would feel like to leave your desk feeling energised?
Imagine that positive glow you would feel if you were able to maintain a good posture all day and get up from sitting without feeling stiff, achy or sore.
Imagine the money you would save by not having to make regular trips to your physiotherapist, chiropractor, osteopath, massage therapist, acupuncturist…insert your health care professional here!
It is so important that we make time to incorporate movement into our busy working lives.
Wouldn’t it be magical if you could intertwine the two?
Imagine being able to take time at work to move and benefit from it without taking an hour away from your desk.
Let’s take action and get moving.
Having a good posture at your desk will reduce compressive load forces through certain areas of your spine and will help reduce your chances of lower or upper back pain.
The reason we need to reduce our sedentary lifestyles is to:
- maintain our fitness,
- nourish our bodies with the movement they desire,
- increase our cardiovascular output and so reduce the incidence of heart disease and stroke,
- increase our respiratory drive to improve the efficiency of our lungs and
- boost our circulation systems are a few examples.
If you want to improve your posture at your desk, reduce your aches and pains in your body, have some exercises you can easily do at your desk in less than FIVE minutes then this programme is EXACTLY what you need.
I hear you when you say yes, BUT…
I don’t have time.
My posture is just rubbish anyway.
I can’t improve my posture, it’s beyond help.
I have so much TO DO I cant possibly take time away from my desk to move.
I don’t know what to do to help myself.
My energy levels are far to low to add movement to it’s list.
I know all of the above rationales because I have said them all before to myself.
Exercise naturally realeases endorphins your body’s happy hormones. Add these to your desk space and you may actually leave your office with a spring in your step!
If you can take a small amount of time in your day to regularly move then I guarantee you will have…
Improved time management of tasks,
More earning potential,
Less sick days,
More time to get things done!
The benefits of exercise are plentiful as you will…
Reduce joint stiffness,
Reduce muscle tension,
Improve your posture,
Improve your body position and awareness,
Improve your body shape and function both mentally and physically.

If you have never worked with me before you may want to know a little bit more about my background so here’s my story…
I’m a petite pocket rocket physiotherapist who has a high metabolism that stems from being very active during my school years representing it at five different sports. I took my passion for sport and my compassion for wanting to help others to university to study as a Physiotherapist from which I graduated in Northumbria.
I worked for 12 years in the NHS as an in-patient and out-patient physiotherapist in Newcastle and Nottingham until a series of life changing events led me to set up my own business The Pilates Physio without having ever worked privately before.
My mission is to reach out to many and help educate about all things posture, pilates and physiotherapy. I love the blend of being able to help others by actively empowering them in their own bodies.
The human body and how it moves has always fascinated me and so my journey into the world of Pilates has opened my eyes to a whole new world of opportunity and amazement of how are bodies were designed to move and move them we must.
Movement is magic and movement is the key to reducing your body aches and pains.
When you learn to move and hold your posture correctly you will wonder why it took you so long to realise how brilliant it feels.
Here’s what a few people say about working with me…
“a fabulous Pilates teacher” Wendy M
“an exceptional instructor” Ann D
